One of the main goals of Samyak Sankalp was to provide a permanent home for HIV-positive children under the care of the NGO Faith Aalingan. When these children began experiencing difficulties in their rented accommodation, the volunteers at Samyak Sankalp stepped in to help build a new home. Thanks to donations from supporters around the world, we were able to give these children a place they can truly call their own.
Since 2021, volunteers have traveled to Vaishali Nagar Park every weekday to feed approximately 50 children. So far, over 45,000 meals have been served to impoverished children in Rajasthan. The food is cooked by volunteers, with each meal costing less than $1 USD. To continue this effort and reduce the burden on volunteers, donations are needed to help cover the cost of the meals.
Samyak Sankalp has partnered with a team of doctors from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, to assist in the treatment of retinoblastoma. When detected early, this form of cancer is treatable with OAC, a non-surgical method with minimal side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy. Typically, the treatment costs around INR 7 lakh (USD 8,100), but with the support of Dr. Manish Rajput, Dr. Amol, and their team, we are able to offer this treatment for just INR 1.75 lakh (USD 2,000), covering medicine and other treatment supplies. Additionally, the children will receive free accommodation and post-treatment rehabilitation. The doctors and their team have generously waived their fees for this initiative. Our primary goal is to raise awareness for early diagnosis and save as many lives as possible.
Samyak Sankalp has sponsored numerous children, providing school supplies and covering tuition fees to ensure they can attend school. Additionally, we have sponsored students for college by covering their tuition as well as room and board fees.
The dedication and consistent efforts of our volunteers to improve the quality of life for others have earned them recognition from Jaipur Morning News. In collaboration with the Seva Dharma Foundation, our volunteers have been able to provide meals to children and teach them the practice of prayer.
